Therapies OfferedCounsellingI am a certified Relate counsellor and have been helping people with their relationships for more than six years More recently I have studied and have a Diploma in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy which is a set of techniques to help people with issues like depression, phobias. It can be helpful where thinking becomes distorted and this in turn affects feelings and behaviour. I am a member of the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) Coaching I discovered the value of coaching when I experienced it myself a few years ago. This encouraged me to become a coach myself. I gained a Diploma with the Coaching Academy. I get great pleasure from helping people achieve their personal and professional goals. Coaching encapsulates personal development, beliefs, values, attitudes, emotions and motivation levels. The ultimate goal of coaching is to help you to develop internal and external structures that help you achieve success and to increase your potential by expanding your sense of what is possible. Coaches encourage individuals to develop the necessary skills, attitudes and knowledge that will help them develop action plans to meet goals Emotional Freedom Technique I became familiar with EFT when someone I know used it for anxiety and depression. It was so successful that I knew I had to find out more. I am now a qualified practioner. EFT is an energy therapy that helps to achieve emotional harmony and improved physical health. It works in a similar way to acupuncture but without the needles! By correcting disrupted energy flow EFT releases the emotional intensity connected with negative emotions. It works for about 80 per cent of people and can be used to help with stress, panic attacks, anger, fear, phobias, chronic fatigue and addictions. The possibilities are endless. It’s a simple technique and most people only need a few sessions with a therapist and can learn how to do it themselves. Hypnotherapy Hypnosis is a natural state of heightened awareness, where you are able to open your mind to beneficial suggestions and where you can make use of your imagination to help make positive changes in your life. It is widely used for all psychosomatic disorders. (i.e. those mental and emotional states, which actually produce physical symptoms) In a nutshell, hypnotherapy can generally help with any problem you're finding hard to handle on your own - thoughts and actions you'd like to banish or acquire, or emotional suffering that is too overwhelming or has gone on too long. Some physical problems can also be treated effectively by hypnotherapy. It can help with stopping smoking, losing weight and eating disorders. The possibilities are endless Neuro Linguistic Programming At the heart of NLP is a wide range of methods and models. It offers an understanding of how people think, behave and change. It offers a flexible approach that brings about positive, fast change in individuals and organisations and empowers them to adapt to an ever-shifting world. NLP techniques can help you change beliefs and decisions that have limited you in the past. It can remove emotions that may have troubled you all of your life. It deals with what may haunt you about the past and gives you ways of achieving whatever it is you want to in your life |
